Traveling Friends

I think that hosting is a true art and I know very few who are as good at it as the Heinrich brothers. Mark graciously hosted me the last couple of days in Lansing. He got up early this morning to drive me south to meet Brian and continue on to Pennsylvania. It was a wonderful time -thanks, Mark, you're the best!

A stop in Maple Grove on the way to Minneapolis afforded the chance to have dinner with my friend Paula - we took another picture with the travel gnome Gary but it didn't turn out as well as this one. The time was brief but definitely treasured and nice to catch up.



This is an early morning picture so neither of us are looking our chipper best, but it was a lovely sendoff to the Europe adventure. Sadly, I will miss the transformation that will happen in July but I will be a happy, attentive auntie when I get back in August.
